Aracuans was a warrior like tribe, that kept their independence up to 1880s and later lost it to Spanish. Originally, they were located on the territory of modern Chili - and still are - but after spanish expansion some part of them moves through mountains to Argentina.
It is remarkable, however, that Argentina is known as a dangerous place for British and American English-speakers - the result of comparably recent war. Spanish agression seems to be faded away into the past.
